Chunmee Tea: A Popular Chinese Green Tea with Unique Taste
Earning a great amount of popularity worldwide due to its sweetness together with its smooth texture mouthfeel, Chunmee Tea is a type of Chinese Green Tea characterized by its eyebrow-shaped leaves. As a pan fired green tea, Chunmee stands out from other Chinese green teas with its unique characteristics.
Green Tea undergoes a series of standard processing procedures: picking leaves, frying, rolling, drying, shaping and finally packaging. The process of CHUNMEE tea has slight difference because of the characteristics of leaves. After picking, the fresh leaves are subjected to be pan-fried to stop enzymatic oxidation. In addition, during the practice of frying, the leaves must be stirred unremittingly to enhance and promote the uniform removal of moisture, thus improving the quality of the tea.
Chunmee tea tastes quite special, both sweet and slightly astringent. The sweetness is balanced by the refreshing acidity of the tea. Its aroma is strong, clean, rich and with subtle variations of nuts. The variations vary because of its raw materials and production process. Its smoky flavor and taste intensity are relatively stronger and more pronounced than other green teas such as Longjing (dragon well tea).
Chunmee tea tends to give a gentler refreshing effect to the drinkers. We found that there are quite a number of followers say that Chunmee could be appreciated as an energizing and reviving drink.
